BIOLYPH is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who is a self-motivated team player, detail-oriented, and eager to help produce our Clients' IVD/RUO products Effectively, Efficiently, and Economically.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop production tooling, processes, equipment, and layouts from product concept through scaled production to support BIOLYPH's business model of Effective, Efficient, and Economic service to our Clients.
  • Ensure that manufacturing solutions for new products or product improvements are completed within timeline objectives.
  • Measure variances to standards, identify out-of-specification variances, and investigate to root cause.
  • Work with Production and Engineering departments to identify, recommend, and source equipment that increases process efficiency and worker safety.
  • Recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities (examples: restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocating workstations and equipment, and purchase equipment).
  • Oversee manufacturing procedures are current and up to date.
  • Assist in Quality Assurance investigations, as needed
  • Cooperatively problem-solve in a team environment

Secondary Job Functions:

  • Work with Facility Manager to troubleshoot and resolve production equipment issues
  • Document equipment maintenance in accordance with Quality System requirements
  • Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as required

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Process, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (GMP-regulated environment preferred)
  • CREO experience preferred

Competencies Required:

  • Troubleshooting, developing or improving mechanical and electromechanical systems using analytical and statistical methods, including Design of Experiments (DOE)
  • Analysis & problem-solving skills
  • Project management skills
  • High degree of personal and professional discipline
  • Operate effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in English communication skills
  • Adjusting to shifting work priorities
